About Regio-S-Bahn

Route Network

The NordWestBahn operates six routes within the “Regio-S-Bahn” network:

RS 1 (Bremen-Farge <–> Verden (Aller))
RS 2 (Bremerhaven-Lehe <–> Twistringen)
RS 3 (Wilhelmshaven/Bad Zwischenahn <-> Bremen Hbf)
RS 4 (Nordenham <-> Bremen Hbf)
RS 6 (Rotenburg (Wümme) <-> Verden (Aller))
RS 30 (Bad Zwischenahn <-> Bremen Hbf)

Tickets & Fare Areas

Depending on your start and final destination, the “Regio-S-Bahn” network connects different fare areas. Together with Deutsche Bahn Tarif, there are Niedersachsentarif, Deutschlandtarif and Verkehrsverbund Bremen/Niedersachsen (VBN). In order to get your valid travel documents, just choose your destination at the ticket vending machines at your train station, at our service offices and customer centres, or via the Fahrplaner-App application.

For example:
For any journeys by long-distance trains, the tariff of “Deutsche Bahn AG” applies. If you only use local trains in the Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) region, the valid tariff to be selected is “Niedersachsentarif”, and when travelling throughout Germany by using only local trains, the “Deutschlandtarif” is applicable. In order to get the right ticket, simply select your destination on the ticket vending machine at the train station or seek advice from our customer centers or our ticket partners along the route.
