Route Network

The NordWestBahn operates four routes in the Ostwestfalen (East Westphalia) region:

RB 75 “Haller Willem” (Osnabrück Hbf – Bielefeld Hbf)
RB 74 “Senne-Bahn (Bielefeld Hbf – Paderborn Hbf)
RB 84 “Egge-Bahn (Paderborn Hbf - Holzminden - Kreiensen)
RB 85 “Oberweser-Bahn” (Höxter-Ottbergen - Göttingen)

Tickets & Fare areas

Within the borders of Nordrhein-Westfalen (North Rhine-rhein-Westfphalia) the fare area of “Westfalentarif” is valid. When travelling outside of this area, the tariff regulations of the respective regional transport associations apply in the different regional transport area networks. Depending on your destination, you can get your travel documents reliably from one single source at the ticket vending machines on our trains, at our service and sales offices or online.

Ticketing Vending Machines

You can get your ticket on the NordWestBahn trains in the region of Ostwestfalen (East Westphalia), at the stations and at our service offices and ticket partners. Simply choose your destination and the ticket vending machine will offer you the correct ticket.

"Only board with a valid ticket"

You will find a ticket vending machine at every stop of the NordWestBahn. You must always buy and validate your ticket prior to boarding a train. Otherwise, you will be charged with an additional fee of € 60.

Rules of Transportation

Transport is directly regulated by the “Eisenbahnverkehrsordnung” (EVO), transport regulations of the different fare areas and the Regulation (EC) No. 1371/2007.
